Cornea
The cornea is the clear outer layer at the front of the eye. The cornea helps your eye to focus light so you can see clearly. The human cornea is comprised of six different cell layers: Epithelium, Bowman's Layer, Stroma, Dua's Layer, Descemet's Membrane and Endothelium. The epithelium is the outermost layer of the cornea and accounts for about 10% of the cornea tissue's thickness.

This subspecialty is sometimes known as vitreoretinal medicine. Retina specialists are highly trained. All the conditions that do not need surgery can otherwise be considered medical retinal issues. Many of the medical retinal diseases have underlying systemic causes.

Glaucoma

LASIK
LASIK, also known as 'laser-assisted in situ keratomileuses', is a laser eye procedure performed to treat various vision-related problems. In LASIK surgery, the cornea is reshaped which enables the light entering into the eye to focus on the retina properly for clearer vision.
