Your eyesight is one of your most important senses: 80% of what we perceive comes through our sense of sight. By protecting your eyes, you will reduce the odds of blindness and vision loss while also staying on top of any developing eye diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma.

Regular eye examinations are important because: having your vision corrected can improve the quality of day-to-day life. they will help detect certain eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration, which could lead to sight loss. poor vision could be a risk for falls.

Cataract
Cataract
A cataract is a cloudy area in the lens of your eye (the clear part of the eye that helps to focus light). Cataracts are very common as you get older. In fact, more than half of all Americans aged 80 or older either have cataracts or have had surgery to get rid of cataracts.
Cornea
Cornea
The cornea is the clear outer layer at the front of the eye. The cornea helps your eye to focus light so you can see clearly. The human cornea is comprised of six different cell layers: Epithelium, Bowman's Layer, Stroma, Dua's Layer, Descemet's Membrane and Endothelium. The epithelium is the outermost layer of the cornea and accounts for about 10% of the cornea tissue's thickness.
Medical Retina
Medical Retina
A retina specialist is a medical doctor who has specialized in ophthalmology and sub-specialized in diseases and surgery of the vitreous body of the eye and the retina. This subspecialty is sometimes known as vitreoretinal medicine. Retina specialists are highly trained. All the conditions that do not need surgery can otherwise be considered medical retinal issues. Many of the medical retinal diseases have underlying systemic causes.
Glaucoma
Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that can cause vision loss and blindness by damaging a nerve in the back of your eye called the optic nerve. The symptoms can start so slowly that you may not notice them. The only way to find out if you have glaucoma is to get a comprehensive dilated eye exam.
LASIK
LASIK
LASIK, also known as 'laser-assisted in situ keratomileuses', is a laser eye procedure performed to treat various vision-related problems. In LASIK surgery, the cornea is reshaped which enables the light entering into the eye to focus on the retina properly for clearer vision.
